We have the resources now. There are enough abandoned homes in America to house the houseless, and restaurants and markets throw out enough food to feed them daily. Clothing manufacturers destroy their unsold products rather than let them go for free or at a deep discount. Capitalism will NEVER allow this to happen. If people are not controlled by the possibility of poverty, they are seen as a useless burden.
